Construction Industry Person of the Year for ABC Mississippi
Christee Holbrook grew up in Columbus, Mississippi, where she also graduated from high school and college. She graduated Cum Laude in 1995 from Mississippi University for Women earning a B.S in Accounting, Christie began her career in their family-owned nursing home, Magnolia Manor. When the family sold the business, she began working for Graham Roofing Incorporated (GRI) in 1997 as an assistant in the accounting department. For the next 21 years, Christee worked through all areas of the company, gradually adding more duties to her routine.
She takes pride that her most significant professional accomplishment came in 2018 when the last original owner of Graham Roofing retired, handed off the reins of the company, and professed his faith that she and her partners were the ones to take the 50-year-old roofing company to greater heights.
Christee Holbrook is now the majority owner of Graham Roofing Incorporated in West Point, MS. She has built and maintained important relationships with customers, vendors, contractors, and community leaders while overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company. She sets goals for the company, reviews all the financial records, and routinely visits job sites to see that the company’s values, work ethic, and work quality are being upheld on construction projects. Never satisfied with the status quo, Christee pushes Graham Roofing to lead the industry in professionalism, high safety standards, and ethical behavior.
She is an advocate in and for the community, recognizing the good but also looking to see what improvements can be made and how she can help make them. She has led Graham Roofing to be more involved with the local education system through material donations, guest lectures, event sponsorships, and advisory board positions. Christee is always willing to lend her experience, knowledge, and ideas.
Christee is passionate about educating and mentoring the future workforce for the State of Mississippi. She is one of the founding members of the FORGE Foundation. FORGE (Family Organizations Recruiting Great Employees) is comprised of a group of local businesses that are passionate about seeing the skilled trades industry thrive. FORGE’s mission is to change the perception of blue-collar work by educating students, parents, and educators on the value of working with their hands and the opportunities that are available in the trades industry. FORGE has hosted various events in partnership with career techs such as Soft Skills University, Interview Day, FORGE Your Path Career Expo, and the Game of Life.
Christee has three (3) beautiful daughters, Madison, Megan, and Morgan Holbrook. She lives in Columbus, MS. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, and traveling.
