NRCA launches new roofing careers website
Suppose you don't know this already. The roofing industry NEEDS more good hard working and skilled workers. The emphasis is on the word "skilled." It's not hard to figure out why skilled workers matter. Ask yourself this "would I want a skilled or unskilled roofer on my own home." Of course, you want someone who knows what they are doing.
The NRCA has been putting their foot forward to help our industry find and train good roofers. In addition to their growing list of courses and trainers. The NRCA is actively encouraging the public to demand certified skilled roofers on their jobs. And to make sure they can get that training, they are building a fantastic collection of courses. It gets even better. The NRCA has partnered with the NCCER and is developing the roofer certified program as I write this blog. I was nominated by NCCER to sit on the committee. They are doing some amazing things, and more amazing things are just down the road.
However, all the training courses and trainers in the world won't do us any good if there are no students or trainees. Once again, the NRCA steps up with careersinroofing.com, a site that brings opportunities in the roofing industry to your desktop. If you have never investigated the career paths in the roofing industry, you are missing out. The roofing industry is dynamic and exciting. What we do as roofers, literally protects everyone and everything else. We have all the right in the world to be proud to be roofers.
What about you? Would you be willing to take a peek in the industry and see what there is for you?
What do you like doing?
