It's about time!

The AZ ROC has joined a national effort to bust unlicensed contractors. Which is good news for the owners who seemingly don't know any better, and the contractors who are have done all the work to be a licensed contractor, and have to compete with these fake contractors.  California, District of Columbia, Florida, Mississippi, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Rhode Island, Texas, and Utah and have joined with National Association of State Contractors Licensing Agencies (NASCLA)

For those of you who don't know, the NASLCA is an industry association of State contracting licensing agencies, whose mission is to promote best practices and uniformity among agencies that regulate the construction industry. If you are a licensed contractor and want to stay in the look this is the place to go www.nascla.org

AZ ROC has set up 13 teams of investigators to head out to the streets and confront these fake contractors, inform the public and issue the necessary warnings and violations. The agency is calling this an education effort, and that is GREAT. Since the goal of this site is to educate and inform the public. But still, people are going to get busted and hopefully, this will help cut down the number of fake contractors out there giving the industry and black eye.
